Food Hygiene Inspections
Slough Borough Council carries out food hygiene inspections of food businesses operating
within the borough to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation. Local
residents can view the latest food hygiene inspections, whether the business has
attained a star rating and whether any prosecutions have been taken against the
business. This will encourage businesses to comply with the law through pressure
from the public and market forces rather than relying on inspections alone to raise
standards. The website is updated weekly and shows food inspection data from April
1 2006.
The Safe Food Award is linked to the Catering for Health Award which provides additional recognition for caterers who offer healthier options. If you are a caterer with a Safe Food Award and are interested in receiving this additional award, an information pack is available on request.
