Getting a good level of involvement from people in the local community is a priority for Slough Forward. It is important that the partnership reflects local views and opinions so that it can ensure that local priorities are met.
Slough’s Compact is a commitment by Slough’s voluntary and community sector and statutory bodies to strengthen partnership working. The Compact has drawn up a protocol that gives some shared principles that Slough Forward adheres to for community engagement. Members of the voluntary and community sector are represented through places on the steering group and the Partnership Delivery Groups.
Several of the Partnership Delivery Groups have forums that involve local communities. Details of these are available from the LSP manager.
Surveys, questionnaires and events involve and engage local people. Responding to one of our consultations is an important way in which communities can influence the work of Slough Forward and have their say.
