Slough’s first Property and Investor Day was held on 1 December 2016 at The Curve. Keynote speaker Jules Pipe CBE, Deputy Mayor for London for Planning, Regeneration and Skills said “We (in Slough) are on the growth corridor of London, particularly Crossrail and beyond its boundaries so we really want to work with Slough to achieve your growth ambitions and help each other to achieve our ambitions.”

Councillor Sohail Munawar, Leader of Slough Borough Council, said: “Slough is a unique town with unique opportunities for investors and we are already seeing the results of the council’s ambitious growth strategy, with recent investments in Slough reaching into the hundreds of millions. A booming Slough ultimately means better services and more opportunities for residents, which is always our main aim.”

Over 120 people attended Slough Borough Council’s second annual economic growth conference and networking lunch on 15 March 2016. It was a great success as it highlighted the growth potential of its economy to key partners, stakeholders and businesses.
