Licensing consultations

The licensing team are undertaking two consultations. The first is on minor changes to our statement of gambling principles and the second is on our ‘no casino’ policy.

Review of the Council Statement of Principles – Gambling Act 2005

The Licensing Team of Slough Borough Council are consulting on the statutory 3 yearly review of the Council’s Gambling Act 2005 Statement of Principles policy document on how it carries out its responsibilities for regulating bingo clubs, gaming centres, betting premises and gaming machines.

Only minor amendments have been made to the revised policy and for ease of reference are shading in grey in the draft document.

A copy of the current policy (2013) and the revised draft Statement of Principles policy for 2015 are attached for comment.

If you have any comments about the review of the Statement of Principles, please respond by email to licensing@slough.gov.uk.

Any written responses must be sent to:

The Licensing Team, Landmark Place, High Street, Slough, SL1 1JL

The consultation closes on 4th September 2015.

Consultation on the Council ‘No Casino’ policy

The Licensing Team of Slough Borough Council is consulting on the current policy of not to have casinos in Slough.

The policy was made in 2006 and renewed in 2009 and 2012 and will lapse unless further renewed.

We would welcome any views local businesses and residents may have on the renewal of the ‘No Casino’ policy.

The consultation closes on 4th September 2015.
