Following the Metropolitan Police Service’s statement that a Hotpoint FF175BP fridge freezer has been identified as the initial source of the Grenfell Tower fire, the Government has ordered an immediate examination of the unit by technical experts to establish the cause of the incident.
This product, which was manufactured between 2006 and 2009, has not been subject to product recalls and this testing will establish whether any further action is required.
If you believe you may own a Hotpoint fridge freezer model number FF175BP (white) or FF175BG (grey)  you should call Whirlpool Corporation’s freephone hotline on 0800 316 3826 or visit their website to register for further updates.
At this stage there is no specific reason for consumers to switch off their fridge freezer pending further investigation.

2016.10.21 Recall: Lizzie's Food Factory Gluten Free Brownie

The following notice has been issued by the Food Standards Agency:

Lizzie's Food Factory is recalling a batch of its Gluten Free Brownie because it may contain walnuts which is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to walnuts.

Best-before date: 20 October 2016

No other Lizzie's Food Factory products are known to be affected.

Allergen: walnuts

This product contains walnuts making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to walnuts.

Our advice to consumers
If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to walnuts, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Action taken by the company
Lizzie's Food Factory is recalling the above product from customers and has been asked to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also sent out a letter to its customers to make them aware of the issue.
