There are several ways you can pay your council tax.
This is the preferred method of payment for council tax - it keeps costs down for you and for the council, which keeps council tax increases to a minimum.
It also means no cash to carry about, no queuing to pay and a choice of 3 payment dates each month: the 1st, 15th or 25th.
You don't need to remember to pay your bill each month as the payments are made automatically. Below you will find a council tax direct debit form to download and complete.

You can pay your council tax through our online payments system, if you have a debit or credit card. You can make regular or one-off payments 24 hours a day. When you pay, please have the following details ready:
Please note: there will be a 1.5 % charge made for using your credit card.
Your payment card can be used to pay by cash or cheque at any post office in the country or our customer service centre. These payment cards have proven to be a great success - but don't forget the cards are designed to last for at least 3 years and you will not be sent a new one with this year's bill. If you lose your card please contact us to order a new one.
