In recognition of International Men’s Day on 19 November, the Safer Slough Partnership is highlighting the positive value and contribution men in Slough bring to the town, their families and communities.
The theme of the day this year is positive role models.
Sometimes boys and young men find the transition into adult life difficult and lack a positive role model in their lives. The partnership wants to raise awareness of the amount of support and help there is in Slough for boys and young men to reach their full potential.
They’ve been speaking to men who live and work in the town to talk about their lives and how they have managed to overcome challenges and obstacles along the way. The hope is that their advice and experiences will resonate with boys and young men who may be stuck in a rut or worried about their future.
