Thames Valley Local Resilience Forum Community Risk Register

The Thames Valley Community Risk Register is published by the Thames Valley Local Resilience Forum.

Under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 we have a responsibility to risk assess local hazards. This has been done in conjunction with our partners across the Thames Valley. The Thames Valley Community Risk Sub Group has been assessed, and continues to review a number of hazards for the Thames Valley area. These are published in a Community Risk Register and can be found on the link to the right of this page.

The purpose of the Register is to assure the people in our area that

  • An assessment of potential risks has taken place.
  • Plans are in place to deal with those risks.

The Thames Valley Community Risk Register has been prepared in accordance with the Civil Contingencies Act 2004.

The risks described in the Register are general hazards which may never affect us. By identifying all potential hazards and their consequences, plans can be made and any incidents that may occur can be dealt with more effectively.
