School admissions

In Slough your child will attend a primary school between the ages of four or five and 11. Children transfer to secondary school when they are 11.

You can now apply for your child's primary and secondary school place online instead of completing a paper form.

The benefits of applying online are:

• it is quick and easy to use
• you can apply from home 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Or use the library, internet café, some schools may make their ITC suite available to you
• there is no risk that your application will be lost in the post
• you will receive email confirmation that your application has been received
• you can change your application up to midnight on the closing date
• the result of your application will be available online later in the year

Applying for an infant or primary school place for reception year entry

From 1 December 2011, you can apply online for a reception year place for an infant or primary school for September 2012 entry, so long as:

• you live in Slough and
• your child will reach the age of five between 1 September 2012 and 31 August 2013

For entry to any other year, please contact the school directly.

You can apply or make changes online until the closing date of midnight on 13 January 2012.

Applying for a secondary school place for year 7 entry

The online application process for year 7 places at secondary school for September 2012 entry is now closed.

Parents can be seen in person at My Council customer service centre on Thursdays only between 1pm and 4.30pm.
