Pay the London congestion charge

The London congestion charge requires drivers to pay £5 per day if they wish to drive in central London during the scheme‘s hours of operation.

You can pay your congestion charge online up to 90 days before you drive in the congestion charging zone. You can pay daily, weekly, monthly or annually.

To pay your congestion charge online, you will need to provide your:

• vehicle registration number
• the date(s) you would like to pay your charge for
• credit or debit card details

Registering for a Fast Track Card will help speed up future payments.

There are several other ways to pay the congestion charge. Users can send an SMS text message, at selected retail outlets, petrol stations and car parks. Alternatively they can pay at BT Internet kiosks, by post or by telephone.

You can also pay penalty charge notices on the website up to 42 days after the issue of the notice.
