Older persons mental health services

Older adults or dementia patients of any age

In partnership with: Slough Borough Council; Berkshire Healthcare Foundation NHS Trust, Berkshire East Primary Care Trust.

Older persons mental health services are provided by a multidisciplinary team of professionals including community psychiatric nurses, social workers, support workers, clinical psychologist, psychiatrists and occupational therapists. The range of services offered includes memory services, providing assessment, diagnosis, treatment and therapeutic interventions, mental health and social care assessments for general mental health conditions affecting older adults, care coordination, home treatment and social care support for service users and their carers. We also provide a mental health liaison service for older people or people suffering with dementia admitted to Wexham Park Hospital. We also offer advice and support related to mental health and its management, for service users and carers.

Common conditions treated: services are for people with dementia, as well as older adults with severe and / or enduring mental health conditions including: bipolar disorder; clinical depression; obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD); severe anxiety disorders; personality disorders; schizophrenia; serious self harm; dual diagnosis.

New referrals

Please contact us on 0300 365 0300. You can be referred by your doctor, as well as other agencies working in the community. Individuals or carers can refer, although usually we recommend that you visit your GP in the first instance.

Our normal opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm; (earlier or later appointments offered on request).
