Since April 2013, every Health and Wellbeing Board in England has had a statutory responsibility to publish a statement of the needs for pharmaceutical services in their area. This is referred to as the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA). Slough Health and Wellbeing Board published their first PNA in April 2015 and are required to publish a revised assessment by 31 March 2018.
A revised PNA report has now been produced, which looks at the health needs of the local population in Slough, the current pharmacy network and public feedback on current services. We invite you to take this opportunity to give us your views on this draft report and the conclusions drawn from it.
The answers you provide for this consultation will help shape the final PNA report, which will be used by the NHS to inform decisions on applications for new pharmacies and applications for changes at existing pharmacies. Local organisations, such as local authorities and Clinical Commissioning Groups, will also use the PNA to inform the services they commission from local pharmacies.
All information you provide will be treated in strict confidence and will not be used to identify you personally. The information you give us will only be used for the purpose of this consultation and will not be passed to anyone else. The analysis is done on an anonymous basis under the guidelines of the Data Protection Act.
Please give us your views by filling in our online survey by 31 December. Please note this link will take you to a Bracknell Forest survey page, where you will be given the opportunity to state you want to comment on the Slough PNA.
If you would like a hard copy of the report and survey, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01344 355218.
The final Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment will be presented to the Slough Health and Wellbeing Board before 31 March 2018 and will be made available on the Slough Borough Council website.
