This is sheltered type housing which consists of blocks of flats with communal areas and facilities including a community alarm. It is only for people aged 60 and over who have an assessed need.

Older person's housing

Older persons housing is self contained accommodation, which doesn’t have communal areas or facilities, but is in an area or block where neighbours will predominately be aged over 50. The ground floor accommodation is reserved for people aged over 60. This accommodation also usually has a community alarm.

Sheltered housing is offered in two schemes by two housing associations in Britwell and close to the town centre.

Extra Care housing

Extra Care housing for rent and for sale provided by Hanover Housing Trust is available at Northampton Place, Northampton Avenue and The Pines, Wexham Road. You must have an assessed need and be aged 55 and over. For more information see Extra care housing.

How to apply

To apply for any of the above you will need to complete a housing application form – for more information see How to apply.
