Local history newspapers

• Windsor, Eton & Slough Express. Weekly from 1812
• Slough Observer. Weekly from 1883. You can also browse through Slough Observer 1883-1929 and search for names and topics in the ninteenth and some twentieth century newspapers at Slough History Online.
• Evening Mail. Weekdays fom 1969 to 1980
• Other 1970s and 1980s editions form the Slough Observer group of newspapers. For more details go to our Local studies newspapers page.

Please note that we charge for photocopies, microfiche/microfilm prints, digital photographs, computer prints and postage. The first 30 minutes of any research by staff to answer your enquiry is free, but if more detailed research is needed we offer a paid research service at a rate of £10 per 15 minutes.
