We have over a thousand photos from Slough's past and were are adding more from Slough Library’s local studies collection to the web site.
A selection of these photos are displayed in the Picture Gallery. Go to Themes and the Picture Gallery is at top of the list.
You can also search for photographs on a particular topic by using the Advanced search page. Enter keywords that describe your topic and select photo from the Content Type menu field.

You can find a copy of the newspaper by using the Advanced search page. Select newspaper from the Content Type field menu and select a date range.
Search the newspaper articles
You can now search for entries in the Births, marriages, deaths and memorials column 1883-1929, plus names and topics in the newspapers for 1883-1900, January 1902-June 1905 and 1906-1907 for all other articles concerning Slough, Windsor & Maidenhead. Just go to the Advanced search page, put in a name and pick either births, marriages and deaths or newspapers.

Please send us your memories, personal records or stories of Slough in years gone by and in more recent times. We would like to cover all aspects of life in Slough. Written, audiotape, photos or any other media are always welcome. We welcome contributions from individuals and community groups.
