What is RSS?
RSS stands for 'Really Simple Syndication' or 'Rich Site Summary'. It is a method for staying up to date with the latest news from websites without having to make repeated visits to check for new content.
Our RSS feeds
Slough Libraries website offers four RSS feeds to make sure you don't miss any news or changes to our website:

Don't miss a news story from our library news webpages
Events

Recommendations

New content
Don't forget about all our other pages with new content
How can I receive RSS feeds?
You need to choose a News Reader. This software will check RSS feeds from your chosen sites and then display headlines and summaries of the new content and link to the full webpage.
There are a huge number of news readers and many are free. Some are web based and can be accessed anywhere while others need to be downloaded on to your computer and so the RSS feeds can only be read from this computer. Some newer web browsers also have a built in service which detects RSS feeds on websites you are looking at and lets you create a constantly updated list of links in your 'bookmarks' menu.
