New Langley Library opens May 6

His Worshipful the Mayor of Slough Cllr Rashad Butt will open the new building on Trelawney Avenue on Tuesday 6th May at 10am. This will be followed by a poetry performance by children from Ryvers School and a welcome speech at 10.15am. There will then be refreshments and an opportunity to explore the new library.
Come and see the transformation both inside and out. We are looking forward to welcoming customers both old and new. There are lots of new resources, more computers, and a relaxation area with bright colourful sofas, where you can sit and relax, and read and enjoy.
In the new library there will be:
- Lots of new books and resources and DVDs for adults and children
- Newspapers and magazines
- More computers with free internet access
- Self service technology
- Meeting room with whiteboard facilities
- My Council information advisors
- Baby changing facilities and a disabled toilet
- Designated areas including children’s and relaxation
- Toys
Celebrations will be happening all week with a packed programme of activities for all ages and free gifts, lots of fun and surprises throughout the week. Come along on the opening day to a music time for children under 5 between 11.30am and 12pm, a 'design a t-shirt' event after school and a free internet taster session.
The week's celebration will end with family fun activities on Saturday 10th May.
