Slough Libraries has a wide selection of DVDs and videos which can be borrowed for one week for a small charge.
Even better, our offer on videos now means you can rent any video and get a second one free.
Charges for DVDs and videos
DVDs
- Adult feature films - £2.70 each for 1 week
- Adults information titles - £1.10 each for 1 week
- Children's ('U' certificate) - £1.30 each for 1 week
Videos
- Adult feature films - £1.20 each for 1 week (rent one get one FREE)
- Adult information titles - £1.10 each for 1 week (rent one get one FREE)
- Children's ('U' certificate) - £1 each for 1 week (rent one get one FREE)
Films
All our libraries get the latest films for you to borrow on the same day as the DVD is released, so you can be the first amongst your friends to watch them! You can find details of new releases from our monthly new DVDs pages (see the links below) which list selected DVDs coming soon to Slough Libraries ornow available to borrow.
We also stock a large range of classic DVDs, Bollywood titles and films in Tamil, Urdu and Punjabi (all with English subtitles).
Our World Cinema collection has been recently updated, and now includes more than 200 titles, including films in Italian, French, Russian, Japanese and Spanish.
These include acclaimed films from international masters such as Akira Kurosawa (Seven Samurai), Krzysztof Kieslowski (Three Colours Trilogy), Pedro Almodovar (Volver) and Jean-Pierre Jeunet (Amelie).
Many of our DVDs are also playable in different languages and audio described for the visually impaired.

It's easy to search our online library catalogue to check what we have in stock.
You can search by title or author (if you wish to search for name of film director), or you can use the keyword search. Then select Video/DVD in the drop down menu for Section.
You can also find a DVD or video by a star in the film by first checking the Internet Movie Database for the title of the film.
