Kids join the library
You're never too young to join the library!
Everyone can have their own library card, even children and babies. It's FREE and easy to join.
Aged 8 and over?
If you don't have any ID with you when you visit us, you can still sign up straight away. All we ask is that you please try and bring one form of ID when you next visit us.
Aged under 8?
You will need to bring along your mum, dad or carer to sign up. If they can bring some ID that would be great eg, a bank card, passport, driving licence, medical card, utility bill, bank statement.
Joining online
Another way to join the library is to sign up on the web on the the online library catalogue @ http://www.sloughcatalogue.info/.
Once you have signed up, you will need to pick up your library card on your next visit to Slough Libraries so you can borrow books. If you are under 8, your parent, guardian or carer will need to be with you when you collect your card.
What can I borrow?
When you’re a member you can borrow:
- 10 books
- 6 videos or DVDs
- 6 talking books or music CDs
- 3 toys
-
(There is a small weekly hire charge for music CDs, DVDs, videos and toys. See library charges.)
What if a baby book gets damaged?
We understand that accidents happen so we won’t make a fuss or charge you if a book for babies is accidentally damaged.
How do I find out what books, films or music are in the library?
Search Slough Libraries catalogue to see what we have and where it is.
