If you are looking for information or advice on starting a career, finding a job, or starting a training course, the Library can help you.

Job Clubs are free and you don’t need to book. Just drop in for help and advice on training, searching, and applying for jobs. See Events, activities and courses for days and times.

Using library computers and wi-fi access

Access to the Internet is free at all Slough Libraries. Please see more information on computers and the Internet.

Advice and guidance

You can get free career advice and guidance, help drafting a CV, or completing an application form, by individual appointment with an advisor from the Employment & learning advice.

Adult learning opportunities

If you are interested in learning something new or updating existing skills, there are local courses to help you. Check out Slough Borough Council’s Employment and Learning page, where you will find helpful information and also a phone number to book a free individual appointment with a qualified advisor. Slough Lifelong Learning publish a brochure of adult learning opportunities, which also includes courses from providers such as the Workers’ Educational Association and the Pakistan Welfare Association.
