Appeal against Termination of Employment

Minutes:

Prior to consideration of the appeal, the Appellant requested that the meeting be adjourned. It was explained that contained within the agenda for the meeting, was information relating to an expression of interest submitted by the Appellant. However, the Appellant stated that he had been assured that this would be  treated as a private and confidential matter and in his opinion had no relevance to the hearing. The Appellant stated that as the information had  been presented to the Sub-Committee this would prejudice him in having a fair hearing.

All parties were asked to leave the meeting whilst the Sub-Committee sought legal advice.

All parties were asked to re-join the meeting. The Chair of the Sub-Committee confirmed that the meeting would be adjourned and a Sub-Committee re-convened with different members.

Resolved – That the meeting be adjourned and a Sub-Committee with different membership  be reconvened as soon as possible.
