(This Extraordinary meeting has been requisitioned in accordance with Procedure Rule 3.1 (v) by Councillors Abe, Coad, Smith, Strutton and Wright)

Minutes:

It was moved by Councillor Wright,

Seconded by Councillor Abe,

 

“This Council resolves:

 

It has lost confidence in the present leadership of Slough Borough Council because of recent examples of financial mismanagement and poor governance, and it calls on those responsible to resign."

 

A motion to suspend Standing Orders in accordance with Rule 27 was moved by Councillor Abe and seconded by Councillor Coad to enable members to speak twice during the debate with no time limit.  The proposed motion was put and lost by 6 votes to 25 votes with 1 abstention.

 

Councillor Smith sought to move an amendment which was ruled out of order.
