It was moved by Councillor Anderson,

Seconded by Councillor Swindlehurst,

“(a)    That Dr Louis Lee be appointed as the (Standards) Independent Person for the Council from 26^th September 2014 until the Annual Meeting of the Council in 2018.

 (b)  That Mr Graham Davies be appointed as a co-opted member on the Standards Advisory Committee with effect from 26^th September 2014 until the Annual meeting of the Council in 2018.”

The recommendations were put to the vote and carried unanimously.

Resolved -

(a)  That Dr Louis Lee be appointed as the (Standards) Independent Person for the Council from 26^th September 2014 until the Annual Meeting of the Council in 2018.

(b)  That Mr Graham Davies be appointed as a co-opted member on the Standards Advisory Committee with effect from 26^th September 2014 until the Annual meeting of the Council in 2018.

Members placed on record the Council’s appreciation to Mr Fred Ashmore for his contribution both as Co-Opted Member on the Standards Committee and more recently as the Council’s Independent Person under the new standards regime. It was agreed that a letter of thanks would be sent to Mr Ashmore.
