Councillor Mann, Commissioner for Education and Children, welcomed representatives from the Youth Parliament to the meeting. It was highlighted that the Youth Parliament  had made an outstanding contribution to the development of local policy, having been involved in drafting of the Children and Young People’s Plan and also assisting in the consultation on the Childhood Poverty Strategy. 

On completion of the presentation, Members asked a number of questions, following which the Mayor thanked the representatives for attending and congratulated them on their achievements to date. 

Resolved -  That the work being undertaken by the Slough Youth Parliament be endorsed and details of the presentation be noted.
