Slough Wellbeing Board's Annual Report 2017/18

Minutes:

The Service Lead Strategy & Performance introduced a report on the draft Slough Wellbeing Board Annual Report for 2017/18 that set out the work of the partnership to improve health and wellbeing outcomes in Slough.

 

It was noted that the partnership is Slough went beyond the statutory role of Health & Wellbeing Boards elsewhere by involving the Police, Fire Service, businesses and others to address the wider determinants of health.  The draft annual report detailed some of the work that had been done over the past year and Members had the opportunity to comment on and suggest case studies for inclusion in the final version that would be considered by full Council for endorsement in July 2018.

 

A Member raised the relatively low take up of cancer screening in Slough and it was agreed to refer to the work being done on increasing the take up in the annual report.  At the conclusion of the discussion, the annual report was noted.

 

Resolved –  That the draft SWB Annual Report be noted and that any further comments from Members be forwarded to the Service Lead Strategy & Performance.
