Minutes:
The Committee considered a report that sought approval for the establishment of a number of Scrutiny Panels and the appointment of Members to serve on them for the 2018/19 municipal year. A number of amendments had been made to the nominations from the political groups since the publication of the agenda and a revised list was tabled and approved.
Resolved –
(a) That the Panels set out in paragraph 5.1 of the report be appointed for the 2018/19 Municipal Year.
(b) That the allocation of seats to the Panels be noted (paragraph 5.2 of the report).
(c) That the allocation of Chairs and Vice-Chairs of the Panels be agreed on the basis set out in paragraph 5.3 of the report and that each Panel be invited to appoint a Chair and Vice-Chair at its first meeting.
(d) That Members be appointed to serve on each of the Panels as set out below:
Education & Children’s Services Scrutiny Panel – Councillors Brooker, N Holledge, Kelly, Matloob, Minhas, D Parmar, A Sandhu, Sharif and Strutton.
Health Scrutiny Panel – Councillors Ali, Chaudhry, M Holledge, Matloob, Qaseem, Rana, Shah, Smith and Strutton.
Neighbourhoods & Community Services Scrutiny Panel – Councillors N Holledge, Kelly, S Parmar, Plenty, Rasib, Sabah, A Sandhu, Shah and Wright.
(e) That the following co-opted Members be appointed to the Scrutiny Panels:
