The Planning Policy Lead Officer introduced a report which outlined the revisions to the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and highlighted what implications these changes could have for local planning in Slough.

It was highlighted that the main conclusion from the Issues and Options consultation was that there was no reasonable option that could accommodate the full identified need for housing and employment land within the Borough. In order to progress some of the key elements of the Local Plan the Council was working with South Bucks, Chiltern and Windsor and Maidenhead to produce a Growth Study to help determine where unmet needs could be met. 

Committee Members noted details of the revisions to the NPPF report.
