Standards Determination Sub-Committee
This sub-committee considers the monitoring officer’s investigation reports and through a hearing process determines whether there has been a failure to comply with the Local Code of Conduct and, if it finds that this is the case, the sanction that should be imposed.
The Sub Committee will be convened as necessary from the membership of the Audit and Corporate Governance Committee and does not therefore have a fixed membership.
The Sub-Committee will have five Members, of whom a maximum of three shall be elected members drawn on a politically proportionate basis, wherever possible. No more than two should be Co-Opted Independent
Chair of Standards Determination Sub-Committee:
The sub-committee shall elect a Chair at each hearing / meeting. The Chair will be an elected Councillor.
