New Shopping Centre Required In Slough

We the undersigned petition the council to The council is having a regeneration of Slough which is very important for the local community. The council would are building houses for the people of Slough and also trying to attract more people to the town. The problem which has been with our town for many years is that our high street is not good enough. We have average businesses opening shops which you would not see in shopping centres around the country, we also have too many pound shops. To find a decent shopping centre and for a shopping experience the nearest shopping centre we can have to is Westfield in London. Slough used to have many top branded shop names many years ago but slowly and slowly they all disappeared due to the downfall of the high street.

Places such as Uxbridge, Watford, Harrow which are smaller towns than Slough have much better shopping centres which cater for the local community and the wider audience. Slough is a business hub, more transports link are being built and talked about but the council has no idea of how to improve the shopping experience side of the business.

The community would like Slough Borough Council to take serious considerations into the idea of looking to improve the shopping centre. This would attract more people and also attract more businesses to relocate to the empty office blocks that are all around Slough
