Slough Focus is made up of:
Acting as the executive body for Slough Focus, this group is the main decision making body of the partnership. It is made up of key members from local, community, voluntary, private and public organisations. The steering group meets regularly to agree strategy, targets and actions, monitor progress, review resources, resolve issues and oversee progress.
Slough Focus decided that in order to achieve the vision of the future set out in the community strategy it would be necessary to have a series of thematic partnerships responsible for delivering the priorities outlined in the community strategy and local area agreement.
These groups incorporate and build on existing partnerships and they have many links (formal and informal) with regional and local groups. Each thematic partnership was given a portion of the strategy to tackle and their progress is reported back to the steering group regularly.
This is a wider group that is inclusive of the voluntary sector, community groups, business, the private and public sectors. The assembly meets annually to review progress on delivering the priorities in the community strategy. The assembly also considers key issues facing the town where opportunities for cross-partner working may derive benefits and makes suggestions or recommendations for future community strategy actions.
