A Local Area Agreement (LAA) is an agreement between a local area (represented by the local authority and key partners) and central government.
The agreement sets out the top priorities for the local area over a three year period. Slough’s new LAA will run from 2008-2011 and replaces the LAA published in 2007 and can be found below.

The priorities in the LAA are drawn from our longer-term vision for the area, the Sustainable Community Strategy. This document sets priorities for Slough over the next 20 years, which you will find below.
The council and its key statutory partners have a duty to cooperate to achieve the priorities contained in the LAA. Private, public, voluntary and community organisations are also encouraged to contribute.
Slough Focus, Slough’s Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) has been restructured to encourage greater partnership work and better achieve the priorities of the LAA.

Each block has priorities or outcomes. These outcomes are measured through indicators, and the targets show the progress to be made.
