Getting a good level of involvement from people in the local community is a priority for Slough Focus. It is important that the partnership reflects local views and opinions so that it can ensure that local priorities are met.
Slough’s Compact is a commitment by Slough’s voluntary and community sector and statutory bodies to strengthen partnership working. The Compact has drawn up a protocol that gives some shared principles that Slough Focus adheres to for community engagement. Members of the voluntary and community sector are represented through places on the steering group and the priority action groups.
The priority action groups each have forums that involve local communities. Details of these are available from the LSP manager.
Surveys, questionnaires and events involve and engage local people. Responding to one of our consultations is an important way in which communities can influence the work of Slough Focus and have their say.
