People are proud to live in Slough where diversity is celebrated and where residents can enjoy fulfilling, prosperous and healthy lives. A positive vision for the future of Slough.
The new Sustainable Community Strategy has been developed after a recent review of the 2004 community strategy. It was reviewed to take into account the new Local Area Agreement (LAA) and guidance from central government.
The new Strategy sets out a 20 year vision for the town and its residents. It has been formed after extensive consultation with residents, public, private, community and voluntary groups.
The Sustainable Community Strategy is divided into 5 priority themes:
Under each theme it states what we want Slough to do:
The Strategy is to inspire individuals and organisations in Slough, and to encourage all to work together to achieve its various priorities.
Slough Focus, Slough’s Local Strategic Partnership (LSP), brings together the Council and partners from a variety of local groups and organisations. Slough Focus will lead to make the strategy a reality.
Slough Focus will make sure the vision is kept up to date and everyone who wishes to help deliver the Strategy’s priorities has the chance to do so, through relevant involvement with the Partnership.
The Strategy will be largely delivered through action on the three year priorities set out in the Local Area Agreement.
