People are proud to live in Slough where diversity is celebrated and where residents can enjoy fulfilling, prosperous and healthy lives. A positive vision for the future of Slough.
The new Sustainable Community Strategy has been developed after a review of the 2004 community strategy. It was reviewed to take into account the new Local Area Agreement (LAA) and guidance from central government.
The new Strategy sets out a 20 year vision for the town and its residents. It was formed after extensive consultation with residents, public, private, community and voluntary groups.
The Strategy is divided into 5 priority themes, with explanations of what the future of Slough will be like:
The Strategy will inspire individuals and organisations in Slough, and encourage them to work together to achieve its various priorities.
Slough Focus, Slough’s Local Strategic Partnership (LSP), brings together the council and partners from a variety of local groups and organisations. Slough Focus will take the lead into making the strategy a reality.
Slough Focus will make sure the vision is kept up-to-date and everyone who wishes to help deliver the Strategy’s priorities can do so, through relevant involvement with the Partnership.
The Strategy will be largely delivered through action on the three year priorities set out in the Local Area Agreement.
