Business Community Partnerships

Fifty local businesses in the town are members of the Slough Business Community Partnership.

Its aims are to inspire local businesses to work together with the voluntary/ community sector for the benefit of everyone who lives, works and learns in Slough. Many businesses in the town have been encouraged to play a major part in supporting local communities and are helping to make a difference to people’s lives.

There are many ways in which businesses work with the local community. These include:

providing specialist knowledge to organisations in the town
supporting education initiatives in Slough’s schools
promoting community safety
helping to develop training to help raise awareness of the diverse cultures that exist in the town

In return, there are benefits for the businesses involved, such as:

sharing of professional advice and information
developing the skills of their employees
helping to develop the future workforce in Slough
working with key organisations to make a positive impact on the issues facing the town and its businesses
