Slough residents now have all the latest offers, deals and events in Slough Town Centre at their finger tips with the new free, Explore Slough app, available for IOS and Android.

Explore Slough which was officially launched on June 25, features special deals and vouchers that can be redeemed from participating shops, cafés, restaurants, bars and other businesses in the town centre and high street.

There are also town centre events listings from The Curve and Home Slough, as well as the council’s cycle hire scheme and community centre bookings.

Town centre businesses are being encouraged to sign up to the app and post their offers to help raise their profile and encourage more people to shop locally in Slough.

In the first week of the app being live more than 20 businesses have signed up including, Buzz Gym, Haveli Conference and Banqueting, Mori Japanese Restaurant, Subway, Pizza Express, Anderson Estates, Humira’s Beauty Bar, Adorn Beauty, Cake Shop, Spaces at the Porter Building, Stewart Coaches.

In addition residents can access the council’s cycle hire scheme via the app and make bookings for community centres, as well as get free access to the Smart Transit Bus.

Residents can show the offer on their phone to redeem their discounts.

Businesses can download the app on Google Play and Apple Store. They can upload their offer directly however if they have any queries, they can email info@exploreslough.co.uk

Once on the app, businesses will be provided with a window sticker so shoppers know there are offers to be had via the app.

Cllr Martin Carter, cabinet member for inclusive growth and skills, said: “The launch of Explore Slough shows our commitment to keeping Slough Town Centre vibrant, while we await large scale regeneration.

“We want residents to continue shopping in our high street and encourage businesses to get on board with offers, discounts and events to give them the extra incentive to visit.

“This is only the beginning of what will be a really useful tool for residents and businesses, so I encourage everyone to download it via the App Store or Google Play and for businesses to register and get on board.”
