The council provides many different services to residents, businesses, workers and visitors to Slough. We continuously work to get things right. However, sometimes the service we provide may not meet the standards you expect. If this happens you have the right to complain.
If you have a complaint, you can complete our quick online form
Or if you prefer, e-mail complaints@slough.gov.uk
You can also post your complaint to:
Corporate Complaints Officer
Slough Borough Council,
Town Hall,
Bath Road,
Slough,
Berkshire,
SL1 3UQ
We will write to you within two working days and let you know we have received your complaint.
The section of the council responsible for the service will write to you with a full reply or update within 10 working days. During that time we will have investigated your complaint with the officers or section responsible for that service.
If you are unhappy with your reply at this stage, you can appeal to the director of the relevant department. You should state why you are not satisfied with our initial response. Please give as much detail as possible as this will help us with our next reply.
If you are still not happy, you can appeal to the chief executive's office who will arrange an investigation of your complaint and send you a reply within 10 working days. You should do this by writing to the council's corporate complaints officer.
Appeals to the chief executive are independent of the department you are complaining about.
Education complaints may need to be dealt with by the school or by an appeals panel.
Please call the education helpline on 01753 875700 for advice and assistance.
Social services complaints may be subject to the NHS & Community Care Act 1990 or the Children’s Act 1989.
