Parks and open spaces - general information

The parks and open spaces team manages over 50 parks, green areas and a variety of open spaces of all sizes around the borough.

Our varied open spaces provide a range of sports fields, woodland areas and wildlife space. From the sporty weekend, to the quiet contemplation of a pond side walk in beautiful surroundings, our parks can provide it all. We have gardens with flower borders. We have a historic park with magnificent trees. There are two historic landmarks linking the town to the distant past. We have three lovely ponds and village greens. All this can be found within the boundary of Slough.

The parks team keeps the park areas in top condition and works toward development and upgrade of the diverse environments within these outdoor areas. Our parks provide important escape space for the people of the town. It is important to provide areas to help people relax and have an opportunity to enjoy nature or to simply get away from the pressures of life.
