Performance/stage licences for school age children

If a child under compulsory school-leaving age performs in any of the following, a child performance licence must be obtained:

• theatre - where a charge is made
• modelling or sport - where the child or any other person is paid (this is not an admission charge but a wage)
• licensed premises

The production company or modelling agency should supply you with the performance licence application forms.

There are occasions when a licence may not be necessary.  Please contact the education welfare service on 01753 787670 or by email: attendance@slough.gov.uk for further advice and guidance.
