Horticultural Standards

The parks team look after local parks and open spaces in Slough.

Our contractors carry out routine grounds maintenance operations:

• in parks, play areas and grass areas
• in housing areas
• on roadside verges
• on hedges, flowers, shrubs, rose beds
• outdoor sports facilities

The is monitored by the environmental services team who also make sure the quality and range of horticultural features are maintained as well as the set standards of:

• cleanliness
• health and safety

Our plans are to improve all our parks. The Green Flag Scheme rewards the best green spaces in the country. We have achieved Green Flag Awards for:

• Pippins Park
• Salt Hill Park
