School admissions

In Slough your child will attend a primary school between the ages of 4 or 5 and eleven. Children transfer to secondary school when they are eleven.

You can now apply for your child’s primary and secondary school place online instead of completing a paper form.

The benefits of applying online are:

It is quick and easy to use
You can apply from home 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Or use the library, Internet café, some schools may make their ITC suite available to you
There is no risk that your application will be lost in the post
You will receive email confirmation that your application has been received
You can change your application up to midnight on the closing date
The result of your application will be available online later in the year

Applying for an infant or primary school place for reception year entry

From 2 Jan 2008, you can apply online for a reception year place for an infant or primary school for Sept 2008 entry, provided that:

you live in Slough and
your child will reach the age of five between 1 Sept 2008 and 31 Aug 2009

For entry to any other year, please contact the school directly.

You can apply or make changes online until the closing date of midnight on 8 Feb 2008.
