We are committed to taking account of the community safety dimension in all of our work. All policies, strategies, plans and budgets are considered from the standpoint of their potential contribution to the reduction of crime and disorder. All our new employees receive training in community safety as part of their induction into the Council.
We are also fully committed to the work of the Safer Slough Partnership. Our chief executive chairs the Safer Slough Partnership executive meetings and the council’s community safety team is responsible for monitoring the partnership’s performance.
James Priestman is the head of the community safety team. His deputy is Avtar Maan who also acts as the Safer Slough Partnership performance manager. The team includes three project officers: Kam Bhatti (Slough East), Anne Farmer (Slough North) and Natalie Glover (Slough South). Fozia Rashid is the ant-social behaviour co-ordinator. The team hosts an anti-social behaviour hotline on 0845 605 2222.
