To ensure that all consumer products supplied to the public are safe. A general safety requirement applies to all consumer products whilst specific regulations are imposed on products including toys, cosmetics, furniture, electrical and gas appliances.

The composition and labelling of food sold to the public is strictly controlled. We can provide advice on these subjects. Any issues concerning food safety should be referred to the Environmental Health service.
