Primary school places

When completing an application form you will need to list the names of up to three schools you are interested in and give reasons for each of the preferences listed.

Please consider the points below carefully:

It is important that you state three preferences so that we know which schools you are interested in. If you wish to apply for a place at a voluntary aided church school or foundation school these must be included
If you put the same school more than once this does not increase your chances of securing a place at that school
You must rank your preferences in the order that you would like to be offered
If it is possible to offer your child a place at more than one of the schools you have listed, you will receive only one offer but it will be the highest preference that can be offered.

The application form is currently available from the education admissions team, schools or you can apply online. Forms must be completed and returned to the admissions team by 6 February 2009.

Online applications

From 4 January 2010 you can apply for your child’s school place online instead of completing a paper form. Log onto the Admissions Online website.
