Primary school places

When you complete an application form you need to list the names of up to 3 schools you are interested in and give reasons for each of the preferences listed.

Please consider the points below carefully:

• It is important you state 3 preferences so we know which schools you are interested in. If you wish to apply for a place at a voluntary aided church school or foundation school these must be included
• If you put the same school more than once this does not increase your chances of securing a place at that school
• You must rank your preferences in the order that you would like to be offered
• If it is possible to offer your child a place at more than one of the schools you have listed, you will receive only one offer but it will be the highest preference that can be offered.

The application form will be available online, and from the admissions and access team or from schools. The easiest method is to apply online. The closing date for all applications is 15 January 2012.

From 1 December 2011 you can apply for your child's school place online through the Admissions Online website.

Parents can be seen on in person at My Council customer service centre on Thursdays between 1pm and 4.30pm.
