What will it cost?
If you are marrying in any register office in England and Wales
The cost will be £30 each to give notice of marriage and one fee of £40 on the wedding day. This is standard for all marriages in England and Wales in a register office.
Beware – some register offices (including Slough's, now called the Bradford Room) have decommissioned their marriage rooms and made them outside venues. In that case you need to follow the link to the outside venues.
If you are marrying in the Bradford Room
- The cost will be £30.00 each to give the notice and in addition a cost that varies by the day and the time
- Marriages 9.30am to 3.30pm Mondays to Fridays are £50.00.
- Marriages on Saturdays at 10.30am and 11.15am are £55.00. All other times on a Saturday are £165.00.
- Marriages on Sundays and Bank Holidays are £275.00.
- We are not available for marriages on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday or Easter Monday.
If you are marrying in a Slough venue
- The cost will be £30 each to give notice marriage and in addition a cost that varies by the day and the time.
- Marriages within office hours of 9am to 5pm are £250.00
- Marriages on Saturdays and outside office hours Monday to Friday are £300.00
- Marriages on Sundays and bank holidays are £450.00.
- We are not available for marriages on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday or Easter Monday.
If you are marrying in a venue outside Slough
- The costs will be £30 each to give notice plus the cost of the marriage on the day
- You will need to phone the office which is conducting the marriage ceremony to find out what this is. Unlike marriages in the register office, there are no set fees and the costs will vary enormously from office to office.
If you are marrying in a religious building
The costs will be £30 each to give notice plus any charges that the religious group may or may not make.
