When you give notice you will need to produce some documents.
In all cases you will need to provide a minimum of 2 documents that will give evidence of (1) your name, age, nationality and (2) your address.
For UK citizens this is expected to be (1) your passport and (2) evidence such as a driving licence, bank statement, utility bill e.g. gas, water.
If you are a UK citizen but do not posses a passport, then you will need to provide 3 documents (1) in all cases your birth certificate and (2) further evidence of your present name and age such as a driving licence, NHS card and (3) evidence of your address as above.
For non-UK citizens you will need to provide a minimum of 2 documents: (1) your passport and (2) evidence of your address as above.
If you do not possess a passport then you will need to provide evidence of your name, age and nationality. This could be a birth certificate supported by proof of present name such as a bank statement or driving licence. A SAL1 or SAL2 document or letter from the Home Office giving your name, age and nationality and HO reference would also be acceptable. In addition you will need to provide proof of address as shown in the information above.
