Deprivation

A document has been produced which show various different types of deprivation.

The Indices of Deprivation 2004 allows comparisons to be drawn within our neighbourhoods, wards within Slough or areas in Berkshire and on a national scale.

This data allows the council to understand the true complexity of need and deprivation in Slough. Seven different elements are measured - income, employment, health and disability, barriers to housing and services, living environment and crime and also combined into one single index of multiple deprivation.
