Slough Lifelong Learning providers aim to ensure that everyone who wants to learn is able to and no one is excluded. All our centres try to support learners with disabilities where possible. If this applies to you please let the centre know when you enrol.
If you would like a copy of the latest brochure in large print please phone 01753 875247.
Further information in community languages can be made available.
Learners attending classes other than English (classes) should be able to speak English in class to an adequate level or they may find difficulties in learning. We cannot guarantee translation by tutors on all our courses. If you need support to speak English, please note we can assess your level of English and advise you about suitable classes.
For a limited number of courses FREE crèche facilities will be available for 1-4 year-olds.
Please note that places are limited and cannot be guaranteed. You will be required to complete a Sure Start enquiry form for each of your children before you enrol for the course of your choice. If a place is available this will be confirmed to you, and you will be asked to attend a crèche settling-in session in the week before your course starts.
Please note that the cost of the childcare place is free to you the learner and the learning provider is paying the fees for your child’s crèche place. However, if you do not use the place that has been reserved for you, you may have to pay the fees yourself for any sessions that your child has missed (cost is currently on average £162 per term, per child).
If you do not attend the first two crèche sessions without informing the relevant centre, we reserve the right to offer your place to another family.
For more information about crèche availability and the classes planned to run at the Slough Sure Start Children’s Centres please phone Slough Information Services for Children (SISC) on 01628 660098.
