The new Beechwood School opened in September 2007 - sharing a site with the new Arbour Vale School.
It is a brand new school for 750 pupils aged 11 to 16 and for the first time, there are now 150 post-16 places at the school.
The entrance is still on Long Readings Lane.
The facilities include:
The school also has an advanced learning centre which stays open into the early evening to support students.
Beechwood also hosts a conference and research facility which has developed from Slough’s professional learning centre which provides training for teachers and other adults.
The design also allows the two schools to retain their identities and operate separately whilst being good neighbours and using each others facilities.
