Drug and Alcohol Action Team

Slough's Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) co-ordinates all services relating to drugs and alcohol in the borough.

DAAT is run by Slough Borough Council in partnership with Thames Valley Police, East Berkshire Primary Care Trust, the probation service, youth offending team and voluntary organisations.

Their mission is to support all agencies in the delivery of the national drug strategy and:

• Treatment - to support people in overcoming their drug and alcohol related problems and live healthy and drug free lives
• Drug intervention programme - to direct drug-using offenders out of crime and into treatment
• Community - to protect our community from drug related anti-social and criminal behaviour
• Availability - to stifle the availability of illegal drugs in the community
• Young people - to help young people resist substance misuse in order to achieve their full potential
• Alcohol - to reduce the harm caused by alcohol in Slough
