Drug treatment is provided by a range of people and organisations.
These are broken down into four tiers:
GPs offer a range of general medical services for drug users including advice on safer injecting, needle exchange, HIV and hepatitis screening and testing and referrals to other specialist services in the community.
T2 Slough offers a rapid, accessible and confidential service for anyone over 18 years of agem who wants to reduce, stabilise ro stop using drugs. It is a single point of contact providing access to other drugs treatment services following an assessment.
Any person can make a referral and self-referrals are accepted.
Anyone contacting T2 will be able to talk to a key worker, in confidence, and receive support, information and advice. After an assessment, a plan will be developed to help the person make positive changes.
T2 offers a wide range of services, including:
T2 also provide support for colleagues, friends and family members affected on a rolling programme to support parents and carers of drug users.

The T2 service operates between 9.30am and 7pm on Mondays and 10am to 4pm on Tuesdays to Fridays.
Shared care aims to prescribe and supervise substitute medication in teh community and provide holistic treatment for people who misuse drugs or alcohol.
Cascade is a specialist community-based drug and alcohol team providing support to drug users in partnership with GPs, specialist drug workers and pharmacies.
